In order to create the proper spacing for the first page, I placed empty/invisible I have established a header and footer with the company logo in the header and address info in the footer. If I test it while I am editing the template it doesn't do that and works perfectly, but once I create a document from the template it exhibits this behavior. The problem is this: When I make a document out of this template and start typing, once I get to the end of the first page and the cursor moves to the second page it takes the header and footer with it, removing them from the first page and placing I have not establishedĪ header or footer for subsequent pages, so my template is only one page at the moment. I also specified in the Page Layout options to have a different first page. This way I can keep 1" margins for all pages. Rectangle shapes in both the header and footer and wrapped the text above and below those shapes. I am creating a template with a first page letterhead.
